Happy 1st Birthday, insanwisata.com!

I've never mentioned insanwisata before. But now, I'll tell you about it. So, insanwisata is a tourism portal website which was made by my senior, his name is Hannif. He made this website to share the tourism information to the whole world. I think so, haha.. Insanwisata in Bahasa means a good traveler. Hmm, something like that :D

Insanwisata was born on 5th December 2012, so today is its birthday! And why do I have to tell you? Because I'm one of the travel writers there! (coordinator of travel writer for exactly :3) Yeah, I have to say that I'm a little bit proud of it :D Since I'm a travel writer there, there surely lots of my article in insanwisata.com! I write them in Bahasa (Indonesian language), wish you'd find it interesting!

The most important is, insanwisata makes me realize that I'm keen on writing travel article. And from now on, I'll be writing lots of my experiences, especially when I'm traveling. Don't ask why do I love this website so much because I'm never gonna answer it! :p

Ah! I'm talking about its birthday, ain't I? So, let's hope the best things for insanwisata. May insanwisata becomes the better tourism portal website, especially in Indonesia. Also stay informative and creative. I'll always be by your side, of course. And don't ever forget our slogan: Let's go traveling while chasing the dreams! I love ya! <3

p.s. Don't forget to visit insanwisata.com ! Thank you! :)

This is not Paris, This is Kediri

You should've known that Indonesia has the almost same monument with Paris. The whole world must be knows about L'arch de Triumphe, but who knows about Simpang Lima Gumul? The government, the regent of Kediri, built this monument on purpose. He thought that this monument would become one of most visited places for improving the economic aspect in Kediri. If L’arch de Triomphe Paris which was made by Napoleon tells about the glory of France, then Simpang Lima Gumul Kediri tells about the history of Kediri Kingdom. There are histories of Kediri Kingdom relief on the monument’s wall.

Simpang Lima Gumul is located in Tugurejo,  Ngasem, Kediri, East Java, Indonesia. It stands as the centre of intersection toward five sub district, they are Kediri, Menang, Pare, Pesantren and Plosoklaten. That’s why the name is Simpang Lima Gumul. Simpang Lima in English means five intersections. We visited the monument at night. It was a perfect way to see such a beautiful building which is shone by the lights. One word, romantic!

It seemed that all of us was falling in love with the atmosphere at that evening. The monument looked yellow and shining, and the sky was really blue. There were quite a lot of people there, some with their family, some with their friends, and some with their lovers. To be honest, I was a little bit envy. I wanna be there with my lover too! >,<

So, that's all for Simpang Lima Gumul. I wish I could be there again someday (with my lover, hehe..) I think it is the most beautiful monument I've ever seen. Well, see you in another little notes! ;)

Falling in Love with Bromo

At that time, it was my first experience to traveled to another province. My friends and I decided to visit Mt. Bromo. The place is located in East Java. It is an active volcano and belongs to Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. Mt. Bromo itself is not too high, but Mt. Semeru which stands behind Mt. Bromo is the highest peak in Java. It also is really cold there. We have to use our jacket, glove, and sock.

aaaakkk.. so cold
To see the sunrise is the most important thing you have to do when visit this national park. From the viewpoint named Pananjakan, the sunrise would come up beautifully with its orange color on the sky. But unfortunately, we went there at January and it was raining all day long! Gosh, I was so sad and disappointed T__T

there was no sunrise at all :(

We probably couldn't see the sunrise, but we could still see the Savanna. It is the hills in Mt. Bromo area. Those hills are really amazing! I don't know how to explain my feeling at that moment. It really is beautiful and lovely. It's really green and the ground is wet because of rain. We cried and run cheerfully right after we saw those wonderful hills.

lovely savanna <3

I like the color, so refreshing!

After that, we visited the "whispering sand" area. Again, unfortunately we couldn't feel any whispering sand because the ground was wet. Actually, the whispering sand is a condition when the sand is flying with the wind, so everyone could feel like the sand is whispering. And we only could see the wet dessert which surrounding by limestone hills.

us at whispering sand, miss that moment!

The last place is Mt. Bromo itself. We trekked the mountain to see the crater on its peak. The peak is not too high, but the trekking was tired enough to do. We passed through a shrine named Pura Luhur Poten beneath the mountain. In certain times, Hindu people come to pray in that holy place. The crater was not so interesting, because we could see nothing but fog. But the scenery from up there was pretty good. I love the beauty of Mt. Batok besides Mt. Bromo.

nothing but fog, still pretty good

Pura Luhur Poten for Hindu people

wonderful Mt. Batok <3

The trip was interesting and we had lots of fun! We also visited some places in Kediri and ate some typical foods. I'll write them in another little notes. Hope you enjoy my writing! There will be my other experience to be shared to everyone! See ya! :)

greeting!

Hi, there! Call me Reza! I'm a student college in University of Gadjah Mada majoring tourism. I love reading, writing, watching movie, listening music. Come on, everybody likes it hahaha.. but the most I loved is eating chocolate, do you wanna share some chocolates with me? ;)

This is how I live. Enjoying the nature scenery, feel the wind blows, taste the unique foods, experience new places, and so on. Don't be sleepy in the morning or you couldn't greet the sunrise! Don't be lazy in the evening or you couldn't touch the sunset! In other words, "Let's go traveling and find the new experiences!"
